This onsite, hands-on leadership role is responsible for the Quality Management System, ISO 9001 compliance, product release, laboratory workflow, and quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Manager will work directly with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Shipping, and company leadership to protect the customer, resolve quality issues, and build disciplined, repeatable processes. Essential Job Functions Maintain and improve the
ISO 9001
Quality Management System; lead internal audits, support external audits, coordinate Management Review, and track the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives. Maintain document control and ensure procedures, forms, specifications, training materials, and quality records are current, accurate, and properly controlled. Own product release and certification for manufactured, buy/resell, reworked, and returned material, confirming customer, purchase order, specification, testing, and traceability requirements before shipment. Manage laboratory workflow and testing priorities, including chemistry, particle size, hardness, visual inspection, and other customer or internal requirements. Oversee calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory and inspection equipment and ensure quality control records are complete and properly retained. Manage nonconforming material, corrective actions, root cause analysis, follow-up verification, and customer complaints through resolution. Lead supplier qualification, maintain the Approved Vendor List, review supplier documentation and certifications, and support purchasing specifications and product testing plans. Maintain accurate QDMS specifications, testing requirements, customer requirements, and quality documentation; use quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Lead, coach, and hold Quality department personnel accountable. Partner across departments to resolve issues, reduce rework and process variation, and communicate professionally with employees, customers, suppliers, and auditors. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of
ISO 9001
requirements. Experience with internal audits, document control, calibration, nonconforming material, corrective action, and quality records. Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work directly with production teams in an industrial environment. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products. Regular, reliable attendance and ability to work onsite; this position is not eligible for remote work. Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal powder, foundry, welding consumables, thermal spray, heat treat, coating, aerospace, defense, or specialty metals manufacturing.

Lead Auditor or internal auditor experience. Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, or similar certification. Experience with structured root cause tools such as 5 Why, fishbone diagrams, or 8D. Familiarity with material certifications, particle size analysis, hardness testing, XRF, chemistry review, or metallurgical testing. Experience managing or leading a small quality team. Travel and Work Environment Occasional travel is required, estimated at 15% or less. Work is performed in both office and industrial manufacturing environments and may involve heat, humidity, noise, dust, metal powders, forklifts, machinery, and required
