Job Description

Position Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality management systems to ensure all products meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. This role oversees quality assurance, quality control, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier quality, and compliance activities within an electronics manufacturing environment. The Quality Manager works cross-functionally with production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable standards such as ISO 9001, IPC, and customer-specific requirements. Lead internal and external quality audits, including customer and certification audits. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards related to electronics manufacturing. Maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records. Production Quality Oversight Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and process consistency. Analyze quality data, trends, and metrics to identify areas for improvement. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances and customer complaints. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements. Establish and monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspection procedures. Supplier Quality Management Evaluate and monitor supplier performance and quality metrics. Work with suppliers to resolve material and component quality issues. Conduct supplier audits and qualification activities as needed. Team Leadership Manage and mentor quality inspectors and technicians Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Provide quality-related training to employees across departments. Continuous Improvement Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reduce defects, rework, scrap, and warranty claims through proactive quality management. Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure manufacturability and quality readiness. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of quality management experience in electronics manufacturing or a related industry. Experience with PCB assemblies, electronic components, cable assemblies, or instrumentation manufacturing preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and electronic manufacturing quality standards. Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, etc.). Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and FMEA. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Leadership & Soft Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Certifications Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt IPC Certification Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
