Position Summary:
The Quality Manager position for Kryton is responsible for implementing and managing the Quality Management System (QMS) for site operations, monitoring quality systems, process controls, and quality equipment to provide the highest levels of performance and meet customer, industry, regulatory and government standards. The Quality Manager recommends improvements to site operations that improve safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. The Quality Manager provides leadership for the Quality Engineer and Quality Support team members and is a key member of the Operations team.Key Responsibilities :
Develop, execute, and monitor quality programs and activities, ensuring manufacturing process controls meet regulatory compliance. Research and vet potential new technologies when appropriate to support the internal growth of the Kryton QMS. Utilize quality systems and tools to conduct equipment maintenance, calibration, in-process product disposition and containment, product identification, quality documentation, and control systems to maintain compliance. Engage in product failure investigations to ensure corrective actions are properly documented and verified. Coach the Operations team on significant quality issues and prevention measures. Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team to address internal and customer quality issues. Ensure quality and product audits and reporting are completed for the site, including reporting of nonconformance and severity of risk. Ensure Kryton's internal stakeholders conform toISO 9001
requirements to maintain certification. Champion of ISO re-certification process. Support Operations to produce parts that align with ourQuality Policy:
involvement of the people, excellent quality, right the first time, continuous improvement, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction. Lead and direct the Quality Engineer and Quality Support Team, managing performance by setting goals and coaching and developing through our Core Values to achieve results and reinforce our culture. Collect and analyze internal and external customer data from reporting tools to establish quality performance trends, define actions to address these and drive actions to closure. Develop and manage the Quality budget with the VP of Operations. Education Bachelor's degree in: Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, etc.) Quality Management Experience 5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality or operations 3-5+ years in a leadership or management role Hands-on experience with: Production environments Supplier quality and audits Customer quality issues and corrective actions Quality Systems & Standards Strong working knowledge of:ISO 9001
Experience leading: Internal and external audits Certification and recertification efforts Management review meetings Core Technical Competencies Quality tools and methodologies, including: Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone) Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Statistical Process Control (SPC) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Control PlansPPAP / APQP
(where applicable) Data analysis and reporting (KPIs, dashboards, trend analysis) Document control and quality records management Leadership & Management Skills Proven ability to: Lead and develop quality teams (engineers, inspectors, technicians) Influence cross‑functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement Experience managing: Quality budgets Staffing and performance reviews Training and competency programs Regulatory & Customer Interaction Interface with: Customers on quality issues, audits, and corrective actions Suppliers on quality performance and improvement Regulatory bodies (as applicable) Experience handling: Customer complaints and returns Nonconformance management Escalations and containment activities Continuous Improvement Experience with CI initiatives Ability to reduce: Scrap Rework Technology & Systems Proficiency with: ERP systems Quality Management Systems Microsoft Office / Excel (advanced data analysis preferred)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
