Full-time Schedule:
8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday Position Summary The Quality Control Manager oversees the quality control department. While this individual manages the quality control team, majority of the role involves client management and troubleshooting. By bridging the gap between the clinical office and the laboratory, this individual applies an understanding of dental prosthetics to diagnose issues, resolve concerns, and work with the team to ensure long-term clinical success. Key Responsibilities Investigates the root cause of issues, communicates directly with clinicians, and determines the appropriate path for resolution—whether through adjustments or full remakes. Partners with clients to advise on prosthetic processes, restorative techniques, and case plans. Educates doctors and their staff to prevent recurring issues and increase case predictability. Directs the QC department's daily operations, ensuring that both general quality checks and escalated cases move efficiently through production to meet deliverable deadlines. Collaborates improved processes for quality and communication, and ensures these standards are adopted by the team. Performs inspections on individual work, ensuring products meet clinical requirements before leaving the lab. Acts as the final authority on quality standards for the department. Acts as the primary conduit for quality feedback. Discusses common quality concerns with the production team, to avoid recurring defects, and tracks departmental metrics to support team goals. Ensures that prescriptions are read accurately and that all case documentation—including call notes, billing adjustments, and workflow logs—is completed with high precision. Qualifications 3+ years of dental laboratory or clinical dental experience. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is highly preferred, as it provides the clinical perspective necessary to understand "chairside" issues and communicate effectively with doctors. Comprehensive knowledge of dental prosthetics. Proven ability to manage a team. A sharp eye for detail. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism when speaking with potentially frustrated clients. Behavioral Expectations Remains calm, composed, and empathetic when dealing with quality issues. Approaches every conversation as a partnership. Being proactive with identifying quality concerns. Embraces new technology and laboratory initiatives; stays current with the evolving digital dental landscape. Takes responsibility for the quality of the work that leaves the lab and the satisfaction of the doctor receiving it. Maintains high standards for performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies. Receptive to feedback and adaptable to change. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Dental Prosthetic Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
