Director, Global Production Quality G&W Electric Co. life insurance, vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, profit sharing United States, Illinois, Bolingbrook 305 West Crossroads Parkway (Show on map) Sep 01, 2026 Director of Global Production Quality The Director of Global Production Quality leads matrixed teams to ensure global production quality compliance to G&W Electric specifications and objectives. This position will work with cross-functional teams to ensure overall quality compliance of G&W Electric operations to all ISO and regulatory requirements as part of the Global Quality team. This position is based out of Bolingbrook, IL and will work with G&W Electric facilities worldwide on standardizing best practices and improving overall quality performance from engineering concepts through the customer life cycle with focus on production quality management. As a Director of Global Production Quality you will: Develop and execute the roadmap to achieve the G&W Electric long-term global production quality vision.
Develop and execute Quality strategies in support of Product Introduction (NPI) that satisfy near term demands of development programs and support long term vision of transitioning to full rate production.
Lead the teams in leveraging quality best practices to drive supplier quality issues resolution.
Ensure production risk management, by working cross-functionally to support strong process of supplier qualification, effective PPAP process implementation and support of closed loop processes non-conformance management
Evaluate organizational design and recommend improvements to optimize resources.
Prepare management reports to review global production performance and cost of quality
Drive use of standardized lean & quality tools, share best practices, and benchmark world class companies to achieve a higher level of Operational Excellence.
Manage Capital, Point of Control, and Expense budgets associated with Production Quality global operations and improvements.
Support strong Environmental, Health, and Safety culture with the team by following all safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
Coordinate the execution of company business initiatives with cross functional team We are looking for someone with: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or related Engineering field
15+ years total experience, 6+ years management experience with quality and manufacturing
Problem solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques, with examples
Demonstrated strategic leadership accountability
Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of the organization structure
Experience developing operational yield and process control tracking Ideally you will have: Master's degree in technical or business
Lean Six Sigma, Red X, or other problem-solving certification
Previous development and execution of global quality initiatives What we offer you: Typical pay is $159,435 - 211,180 annually. Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
