53,000 - 75,000 Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Quality Control Supervisor to lead quality activities within a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee day-to-day quality control operations, ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards, and develop a strong quality-focused culture across the production floor. The ideal candidate is a decisive problem-solver who can balance production demands with strict quality requirements and take ownership of corrective actions, inspections, documentation, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop Quality Control Technicians and other quality personnel. Oversee daily QC activities, including inspections, testing, sampling, and product release. Ensure products meet established quality, food safety, and customer specifications. Monitor production processes and identify quality trends, deviations, and potential risks. Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, customer complaints, and out-of-specification results. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives. Partner closely with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, R D, and Operations leadership. Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, testing results, and compliance documentation. Support HACCP, GMP, SSOP, allergen control, sanitation, and food safety programs. Ensure compliance with applicable FDA, USDA, SQF, BRCGS, and customer requirements, as applicable. Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits. Monitor environmental, microbiological, chemical, and physical quality programs as required. Review production and quality data to identify opportunities for process improvement. Assist with training employees on food safety, quality procedures, GMPs, and sanitation requirements. Enforce quality standards and immediately escalate significant food safety or product-quality concerns. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, waste, rework, and customer complaints. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of quality assurance/control experience in food, beverage, or related manufacturing. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and quality systems. Experience with root-cause analysis, CAPA, SPC, and continuous improvement. Familiarity with FDA and/or USDA regulations and third-party audit standards. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Ability to lead by example and hold teams accountable to quality standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems. Schedule & Work Environment Manufacturing/production environment operating on a continuous or extended schedule. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Regular presence on the production floor is expected.
