Type:

full-time We are seeking a new Quality Control Manager to join our team. As a Quality Control Manager you will be responsible for the on-going assessment of the quality culture of the project, including bench marking with team members regarding quality Best Practices. Facilitate and support the project quality program regarding process including suggesting and implementing improvements. This is a highly visible position with responsibilities that impact the short- and long-term profit or loss of the company. As a member of the Operations Team, you will report to the Quality Control Director. As a Quality Support Manager, you will: Quality assurance and quality control for multiple projects simultaneously. Conduct proactive field assessments that result in quality risk reduction recommendations. Communicate all findings to Superintendent, Project Engineer & Project Manager. Assist Field staff in monitoring of work to confirm products, installations and materials conform to contract documents & manufacturer's requirements. Issue nonconformance/observation reports, as needed and follow-up on corrective action to eliminate potential future nonconforming work. Assist Quality Director with continual training/education for the quality program. Assist Warranty Department with issues that arise within the 12-month warranty period. Make recommendations to management for changes to protocol, procedures or policies based on review of field trends & practices. Promote Quality Assurance awareness and training. Support Field staff in development, tracking & the updating of Site-Specific Quality Plans & identifying project specific Quality challenges from lessons learned. Support and assist with various quality/testing/mock-up(s) plans to improve project operations. To be successful in this role, you will need: B.S. degree in engineering or construction management; architectural, civil or other applicable discipline. 5 or more years' work experience as a professional in the construction industry. Experience as a quality engineer/manager is preferred. Construction project management experience that shows career progression with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience with general building projects including commercial, residential (condo), retail and education, and/or experience in industrial, infrastructure, and civil projects. Strong communications skills including written, verbal and excellent public speaking skills and presence. Specific technical expertise with building enclosures and/or mechanical systems is desirable. Ability to communicate with Project Executive, management, and field/trade staff. Strong organizational and technical writing skills. Ability to articulate quality bench marking assessment results to project teams and senior management. Strong technical skills - for assisting in the compilation of training materials, inspection checklists and other documents. Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills. Passionate about the subject of quality management. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Procore and simple database management.
