Overview :
This is a hands-on Quality Manager role reporting directly to the General Manager. The role will take full ownership of the Quality Management System, focusing heavily on quality control, process development, and implementation of standardized procedures. This person will be responsible for establishing structure, closing current gaps in inspection and quality processes, and driving improvements across the operation.
Responsibilities :
Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 environment) Develop, implement, and improve quality processes, procedures, and work instructions Establish and oversee inspection processes, including final inspections and First Article Inspections (FAIR) Identify gaps in current quality practices and implement corrective actions Lead internal audits and support external audits as needed Manage corrective action processes and drive root cause resolution Perform supplier quality activities, including occasional travel for supplier visits Conduct spot checks and ensure product quality standards are consistently met Support legacy product lines while helping build scalable quality systems for future growth Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to improve overall product quality
Qualifications :
Experience working within an
ISO 9001
environment (certification not required but must be able to lead audits) Strong internal auditing experience and ability to lead audit processes Hands-on experience building or improving quality systems and processes Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and terminology Ability to operate independently and take ownership of the quality function Leadership mindset with experience driving processes (formal people management not required) Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
