About the
Role:
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the company's Quality Management System and ensuring products are manufactured safely, reliably, and in full compliance with customer specifications, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, customers, and inspectors to drive quality excellence throughout the organization. Lead and continuously improve the
ISO 9001
2015 Quality Management System, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, audits, and corrective actions. Maintain ASME code compliance programs and serve as the primary liaison with Authorized Inspectors, auditors, customers, and regulatory bodies. Manage nonconforming material, customer complaints, warranty investigations, CAPAs, and root cause analysis activities using structured problem-solving methodologies. Oversee QA/QC personnel, inspection activities, testing requirements, quality documentation, and final certification packages to ensure compliance and on-time delivery. Ensure compliance with ASME Section
VIII, ASME B31.1/B31.3, AWS
standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry requirements within a custom fabrication environment. Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives, Lean practices, process optimization, and overall operational excellence.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline; equivalent industry experience will also be considered. 5+ years of quality experience within metal fabrication, pressure vessels, piping, welding, machining, or similar manufacturing environments. 3+ years of leadership experience managing QA/QC teams. Hands-on experience implementing, maintaining, and auditing
ISO 9001
2015 Quality Management Systems. Working knowledge of ASME Section
VIII, ASME B31.1/B31.3, AWS
standards, audits, corrective actions, and root cause analysis methodologies. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and customer-facing skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). Experience maintaining ASME U, UM, and/or R Stamp programs. National Board and R-Stamp documentation experience. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience in pressure vessel, cryogenic, process equipment, industrial gas, energy, or heavy fabrication industries. What's in it for me?
