Job Description

Position Overview This passionate leader will act as a change agent for the organization moving us to a more pro-active approach to "quality" utilizing 6 Sigma principals. Key success factors will be implementation of a continuous improvement philosophy which will impact our customer, internal processes, and supplier base. This leader must have a proven track record of successfully leading teams and projects. Must possess a Six Sigma Green Belt, a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred. This position will have direct responsibility for all job assignments and operational budgets for their department. Outstanding leadership and listening skills will be essential along with the passion and motivation for success. Areas of Focus

  • Continued development and application of the quality organization toward a 6 Sigma problem solving approach
  • Develop processes which are well documented by procedures and work instructions
  • Develop and support any required product/process transitioning activity
  • Drive Manufacturing Process Control (MPC) for the manufacturing processes based on 6 Sigma principals (Control Plans)
  • Implementing a quality system that is well documented and meets the requirements of the
ISO 9001
standard.
  • Strong RC-CAPA skills (Root Cause
  • Corrective and Preventive Action)
  • Strong knowledge of Process Mapping, FMEA's, MSE's, Control Plans, PPAP's, and DOE's.
  • Trainer
  • RC-CAPA, ISO, Total Quality Management,
  • Support and lead Lean/Six Sigma activities as needed
  • ISO Management Representative for designated site, and is a key member of the ISO Implementation team
  • Develop and maintain key quality metrics driving continuous improvement for our external & internal customers
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Maintains quality objectives in support of corporate policies and goals.
  • Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization.
  • Inspection techniques
  • Layout principals, First Article Reports, Inspection Reports
  • Support Product Development
  • Design Reviews, Design to Cost, Critical to Quality (CTQ)
  • Other duties as required.
  • Supervise direct reports as required.
  • Evaluates performance, provides feedback, and completes performance reviews. Basic Qualifications
  • Process Improvement
  • Six Sigma Green Belt required, Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred
  • ASQ
  • Certified Quality Engineering/Certified Quality Manager Preferred
  • A minimum of five years related experience in high volume/ medium mix, low unit value industrial product manufacturing.
  • Management experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • ISO implementation, ISO Management Rep., lead auditor, is a plus
  • Preferred experience with: Lean Principals
  • Waste Reduction, Finance
  • Operational Budgets, Cost of Quality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Statistical Analysis, Establishing Sampling Schemes (Batch and In-process), Design of Experiments (DOE's)
  • Knowledge of Minitab Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Degree in a related field is preferred.
