Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Two-year technical certificate or 3 years of experience working on projects directly related to the job responsibilities Rebar inspection experience Reinforced concrete construction experience including rebar experience Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with project team members from multiple locations in a working environment that expects self-initiative Knowledge of reinforced concrete construction and engineering related processes, as well as industry practices Ability to safely lift and carry equipment weighing about 30 pounds up and down stairs, ladders, and elevated surfaces on a frequent basis Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications Conscientiousness concerning safety and the accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of results Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications A B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology from a program accredited by ABET (aka Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), including courses in concrete materials, design or construction), PLUS six months satisfactory work experience; or A B.S. degree in an engineering program PLUS one year of satisfactory work experience; or A minimum of two years of college or technical school, earning at least 60 credit hours, PLUS two years of satisfactory work experience; or A high school diploma, or equivalent, PLUS a minimum of three years of satisfactory work experience; or Five years of satisfactory work experience. Types of certifications ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector ICC Special Inspector Certifications (Reinforced Concrete, Soils) Decision-making authority and responsibility; Verification of compliance with plans, specifications, and codes; Evaluation of concrete construction in the field; Evaluation of subgrade soil strength and uniformity in the field; Documentation and reporting of inspection results; and Proficiency in appropriate areas of concrete and earthwork construction inspection.Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hourBenefits:

Do you have experience inspecting reinforced concrete construction, including reinforcing steel/rebar? Do you hold an ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector certification? Are you able to work on-site near Hartford City, Indiana and independently serve as the primary field inspector?Education:
