Role Description The Document Restoration Management role is a full-time, on-site position based in Indianapolis, IN. This role oversees the end-to-end restoration process for damaged or at-risk documents, including intake, assessment, cataloging, and tracking throughout restoration. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating document handling and storage, supervising restoration techniques such as drying, cleaning, and digitization, and ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed. The individual in this role will collaborate with field teams, clients, and insurance partners to provide updates, manage timelines, and help resolve questions about scope and status. The role also involves monitoring quality standards, enforcing safety and confidentiality protocols, and identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience. Qualifications Document restoration and preservation skills, including handling sensitive records, applying appropriate drying and cleaning techniques, and understanding basic archival or records management principles. Operational and project coordination skills, such as workflow planning, task prioritization, inventory tracking, and schedule management in a fast-paced restoration environment. Attention to detail and quality control skills, including accurate data entry, meticulous recordkeeping, and the ability to review work for completeness and compliance with company standards. Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear updates to clients and insurance partners, explain processes, and address inquiries in a professional, empathetic manner. Safety, confidentiality, and compliance awareness, including adherence to company safety protocols, secure handling of confidential or sensitive documents, and respect for regulatory and privacy requirements. Basic technical skills, such as using office software, scanners, and other equipment related to document restoration and digitization. Ability to work on-site in a physical environment, including standing, lifting, and moving boxes or equipment as needed, with a focus on safe work practices. Previous experience in restoration, records management, or a related field is beneficial; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and further education or certifications in restoration or archival work are an advantage.
