Quality Assurance / Residential Services Coordinator

Job Description

RTSSK is seeking a Quality Assurance / Residential Services Coordinator to support the quality, safety, and compliance of residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental illness. This position will support and mentor House Managers and House Coordinators, assist with staff training, conduct residential quality assurance inspections, monitor compliance, and help ensure individuals receive safe, consistent, person-centered services. The position works closely with the Program Director and other members of the administrative team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct regular quality assurance inspections of residential sites to ensure safety, cleanliness, proper maintenance, and quality services. Complete environmental and staff performance checklists and ensure corrective actions are completed timely. Monitor homes to ensure essential items such as appliances, furniture, bedding, lighting, and other household needs are safe, functional, and appropriate. Identify environmental hazards, maintenance concerns, and compliance issues and coordinate follow-up with landlords, property managers, and administrative staff. Monitor compliance with KDADS, CMS, agency policies, and residential service requirements. Ensure residential settings follow applicable Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), including required safety measures such as alarms, medication storage, and securing unsafe items. Provide ongoing support, mentoring, and training to House Managers and House Coordinators. Assist with implementing and maintaining the House Manager/Coordinator training program. Attend House Manager/Coordinator meetings and assist with updating policies, procedures, forms, and expectations. Work with administrative staff to identify and correct compliance concerns. Assist with performance reviews and coaching of House Managers and House Coordinators. Assist with transitioning new individuals into residential services and establishing new residential settings in accordance with KDADS and Final Rule requirements. Review day service attendance and documentation and report discrepancies as needed. Maintain accurate QA records, inspection documentation, corrective action follow-up, and related reports. Participate in meetings and other quality improvement activities as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or mental illness. Strong knowledge of documentation, service requirements, and data collection for IDD services. Experience as a House Manager, House Coordinator, supervisor, or in a quality assurance role preferred. Ability to understand and apply KDADS, CMS, and agency requirements. Must be able to pass required background investigations upon hire and as required thereafter.
