Job Description:
Responsibilities Lead and develop Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams. Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS). Develop, implement, and improve quality processes, procedures, and work instructions. Monitor production quality and identify opportunities for process improvements. Analyze quality data and prepare reports for plant leadership. Lead investigations into customer complaints, product nonconformances, and corrective actions. Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party quality audits. Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer specifications. Develop quality training programs and mentor team members on quality best practices. Partner with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve manufacturing performance, product quality, and overall efficiency. Support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce defects and improve operational performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of manufacturing experience. 6+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, including leadership responsibilities. Experience within steel, tubular products, metals, or other heavy manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of quality systems, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with nondestructive testing (NDT) and mechanical testing. Knowledge of industry quality standards and manufacturing specifications. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications NDT Level III certification. Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Advanced degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP. Previous experience leading quality teams through audits, process improvements, and manufacturing start-up or expansion activities. Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working throughout an industrial manufacturing facility, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Ability to work safely around production equipment while following all PPE and safety requirements.
