•This is an on-site position located in Shreveport, LA• Prolec GE designs, manufactures, and sells products and solutions for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric energy. With more than 50 years' experience in the industry, Prolec GE is an important player in the Mexican market and a key participant in the rest of the Americas, with business units in Mexico, the United States, and Brazil. Job Description Summary Manage the Quality function of the Shreveport plant according to the strategies defined for the improvement of business quality metrics through the team of specialists in an effort to achieve customer satisfaction of our products and services, while keeping non-quality costs to a minimum. Roles and Responsibilities Manage the design and implementation of quality strategies and policies that ensure the reliability of processes and products, as well as compliance with customer requirements in adherence with national and international standards Quality assurance system KPI's by linking objectives and actions Lead Quality Team to ensure superior customer satisfaction when customer defects occur, while protecting company interests (liabilities, responsibilities, warranties, claim, accrual, risk management) Implement ISO, identify and mitigate gaps, and train on ISO standards Verify quality standards are met during the selection and qualification of new suppliers and that existing suppliers continue to meet standards Oversee staffing and professional development of the Quality Team Ensure overall plant management commitment to Quality policies, processes, and actions (containment, curative, preventive) Conduct presentations regarding the Quality System to customers and their representatives Establish quality training plan in the business unit Manage the electrical testing function in the laboratory to ensure performance and compliance with contractual requirements are in sync with customer, operational, and product development requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years management experience 5+ years Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
