Quality Manager -

Specialty Foods Location :

West Roxbury, MA Sourcer, importer and packer of 400+ specialty foods and ingredients distributed to local and national food service and retail companies. The SQF Level 1 plant includes 40,000 sq.ft. of warehouse space and 3 packing lines (jar line, pouch line and pail packing line).

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and direct the comprehensive QA program to safeguard product quality and safety. Maintain SQF program. Manage the total Quality Control plan, HACCP plan, and SQF program. Work with existing and new suppliers on approved suppliers' management plan Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP). Manage internal documentation. Plan, prepare and participate in all audits including organic, kosher, customer, FDA, intern audits, and 3rd party. Maintain product specifications. Train employees in quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation. Assist the Sales Department with samples, product specs, R&D. Contribute to development of new products and processes with a focus on food safety and quality control and labeling. Assist in operations, inventory management and shipping and the implementation of new processes. Handle customer relations focused on quality control documentation and customer complaints.

Qualifications:

BS Science. 3+ years' work experience, previous SQF practitioner experience.

Certifications:

HACCP, PCQI, SQF

M-F Base Salary:

Biweekly paycheck Annual performance bonus: Based on performance, annual reviews, and overall company success. Estimated bonus range is 5-10% of annual salary.

Profit Sharing Plan :

Plan designed to contribute 5-10% of yearly compensation of eligible employees to retirement plan. Currently it amounts to 7.5% of annual compensation. After each year of enrollment, employee becomes 20% vested. Fully vested after 5 years. Rollovers allowed and fully vested immediately.

$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
