Quality Control Supervisor Express Employment Professionals Hyde Park, MA Job Details Full-time From $28 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Spanish Supplier management Value stream mapping Team development Training & development Full Job Description Quality Control Supervisor The Quality Manager is responsible for identifying and communicating potential quality issues during inspections, ensuring alignment across Sales, Procurement, and Production. This role works closely with vendors and the Procurement team to provide clear, accurate feedback and to ensure timely corrective actions are taken. The Quality Manager also supervises and supports the quality team throughout all inspection stages, including pre-inspections, in-line production, and final product evaluations. This position requires regular travel between facilities to maintain consistent quality standards and ensure expectations are met company wide. Shift is 5am-1pm Mon-Fri + weekends as needed. Busy seasons will require OT! Pay is $28/hour. Job Responsibilities Define parameters, objectives, and goals for the department, and monitor corresponding metrics. Communicate any potential quality issues identified during inspections to the Production managers, ensuring timely awareness of any concerns that may impact product quality or delivery to customers. Understand all customer expectations and needs, outlining quality standards and developing quality control procedures. Train and provide guidance to all quality department personnel to ensure quality standards are met at every step. Ensure all needed information is documented accurately and presented to vendors and internal stakeholders. Train and share the department's knowledge and skills with other departments. Actively participate in the implementation of new products/processes/vendors, including all required steps and sample evaluations. Support, develop, and encourage continuous improvement within the department and among team members. Actively participate in the company's Lean journey, providing guidance on 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), lean foundations, and continuous improvement principles. Coordinate ongoing evaluations of vendors upon arrival at Designers Choice, ensuring that products delivered to Designers Choice facilities meet established quality standards. Actively participate in the development and implementation of projects related to quality and associated areas within the company.
