About Grow Associates Grow Associates is a mission-driven organization dedicated to connecting people of all abilities with opportunities. For more than 50 years, Grow has provided person-centered services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the region. We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality Assurance and Training to join our leadership team and help ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and service delivery across the organization. Position Overview The Director of Quality Assurance and Training is responsible for leading Grow Associates' quality assurance, regulatory compliance, program evaluation, and staff training initiatives. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that programs and services meet or exceed the standards established by DDS, MassHealth, DPH, CARF, Optum, and other applicable regulatory and funding entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the I/DD field and demonstrated experience successfully preparing for and navigating regulatory audits, licensing reviews, and/or accreditation surveys. The Director will work closely with program leadership to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective action plans, monitor outcomes, and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement. In addition to quality assurance responsibilities, this position oversees agency-wide training, serves as the Human Rights Coordinator and Safety Officer, manages HCSIS, conducts internal investigations, and serves as Grow's primary contact with the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC). Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure compliance with MassHealth, DPH, DDS, CARF, Optum, and agency policies and procedures. Lead quality assurance activities, including case record audits, program reviews, compliance monitoring, and corrective action planning. Prepare the organization for regulatory audits, licensing reviews, and accreditation surveys and coordinate follow-up activities. Partner with program directors to address findings, implement remediation strategies, and monitor corrective action plans through completion. Monitor MAP implementation for DDS-funded services in collaboration with medical consultants. Develop and maintain program and staff manuals to support regulatory compliance and quality service delivery. Lead monthly Quality Assurance meetings and monitor follow-up and completion of identified action items. Support organizational growth and program expansion by ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and funding requirements. Serve as the agency's Human Rights Coordinator and facilitate quarterly Human Rights Committee meetings. Manage HCSIS to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. Conduct internal investigations related to incidents, complaints, and concerns. Serve as the agency's primary contact with the DPPC, including communication, reporting, and follow-up. Serve as Safety Officer and conduct required safety inspections and reporting. Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Develop and implement program evaluation tools to measure program effectiveness, outcomes, and areas for improvement. Conduct annual satisfaction surveys of individuals served, families/guardians, and community stakeholders. Analyze results and collaborate with program leadership to develop and monitor improvement strategies. Ensure feedback and corrective actions are documented, implemented, and evaluated. Training & Professional Development Oversee onboarding and orientation requirements for new employees. Coordinate and monitor required annual staff training and professional development. Facilitate staff training and serve as an agency trainer for required programs, including CPR and First Aid. Partner with Human Resources and program leadership to identify training needs and develop programs to address skill gaps. Ensure staff training supports regulatory requirements, best practices, and program expansion. Develop and deliver training and educational programs for staff, families, community partners, external organizations, and other stakeholders. Support the continued growth of Grow's external training and professional development initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field required Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in the I/DD field, with demonstrated experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, program operations, or service delivery. Experience working with DDS, CARF, MassHealth, Optum, or other regulatory, licensing, accreditation, or funding entities. Demonstrated experience successfully preparing for and completing a regulatory audit, licensing review, or accreditation survey. Experience with DDS, CARF, or Optum audits is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze findings, develop corrective action plans, and work with leadership and program teams to successfully address compliance issues. Strong knowledge of DDS Licensing and Certification requirements, CARF standards, MassHealth regulations, and other applicable state and federal requirements. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect information, identify trends, and develop effective solutions. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary and cross-functional leadership team. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn and effectively utilize new electronic systems and technology platforms required by funding sources and regulatory agencies. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Must be able to maintain required certifications and successfully complete all required background checks. Why Join Grow Associates?
