Job Description
QC Inspector/Warehouse Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector and Warehouse Manager to support the fabrication and operations group of our client's Elkton, MD business. This role is responsible for inspecting fabricated components and assemblies against project drawings and specifications, and for managing the receiving, storage, and shipment of materials and equipment for industrial air pollution control systems installed around the world. The inspector will work closely with our project engineering, fabrication, and procurement groups to ensure that finished equipment meets quality standards before it leaves the shop floor- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, weld, and assembly drawings, including GD&T, weld symbols, and bills of material
- Proficiency in following welding procedures, welder qualifications, NDE welding inspection
- Working knowledge of plate, sheet metal, and structural steel fabrication, including verification against material certifications
- Ability to document inspections, generate non-conformance reports (NCRs), and coordinate corrective actions with the fabrication and engineering teams
- Management of warehouse and inventory operations, including receiving, material staging, cycle counts, and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking, inspection records, and ERP/inventory systems
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites and partner fabrication shops approximately 25% of the time to perform source inspections, witness testing, and verify quality at external facilities
- Ability and willingness to work cross-functionally with project engineering, procurement, and shipping
- Ability to provide reports and use of company reporting tools to document quality performance
- Ability to generate procedures and ensure procedures are followed to ensure consistent quality product output goals

Requirements:
- Associate degree or technical certification in a related field, or equivalent shop/QC experience
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, weld, and assembly drawings, including GD&T, weld symbols, and bills of material
- Proficiency in following welding procedures, welder qualifications, NDE welding inspection.
- Proficiency with dimensional inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares) and familiarity with weld and coating inspection criteria
- Working knowledge of plate, sheet metal, and structural steel fabrication, including verification against material certifications
- Ability to document inspections, generate non-conformance reports (NCRs), and coordinate corrective actions with the fabrication and engineering teams
- Management of warehouse and inventory operations, including receiving, material staging, cycle counts, and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments
