Quality Assurance Coordinator - Night Shift Gokoh Coldwater Inc. (GCI)Coldwater, Michigan Gokoh Coldwater Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Quality Assurance Coordinator for our night shift. This is a hands-on Quality and leadership position. The Quality Coordinator serves as the second-in-command for Quality on the shift, helping lead inspectors while also working alongside the team on the production floor. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, communicates well, and can become increasingly independent as they learn the position. Schedule Sunday-Wednesday6:00 PM-4:30 AM Occasional overtime daily and weekly may be required based on production needs. Training The selected candidate will initially train on day shift for up to 30 days, depending on training progress.

7:30 AM-7:30 PM We provide hands-on training and don't expect someone to know our processes on day one. We do expect employees to pay attention, ask questions, retain their training, and become more independent as they learn the job. What the Position Involves You will spend your shift on the production floor and will be expected to help wherever Quality support is needed.

Responsibilities include:

Performing product inspections and verifying that parts meet Quality requirements. Using calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and other inspection equipment. Completing required Quality paperwork and computer documentation accurately. Helping provide direction and support to Quality inspectors. Following up to make sure required inspections and checks are completed correctly. Catching and inspecting cores on production lines when needed. Identifying and communicating Quality concerns. Assisting with troubleshooting and containment of nonconforming product. Working closely with Production supervisors, team leaders, operators, and management. Helping train employees on inspection requirements and Quality procedures. Operating a forklift when needed. Participating in daily cleaning, organization, and 5S activities. Helping make sure the Quality responsibilities for the shift are completed before the end of the day. Attendance & Dependability Good attendance and punctuality are important for this position. The Quality Coordinator plays an important role on the night shift, and the team depends on this person being at work and ready when scheduled. Leadership & Accountability Being a Coordinator means being willing to work alongside the team, not just direct it. We want someone who is comfortable helping inspectors, answering questions, following up on incomplete work, and making sure required Quality checks and paperwork are completed correctly. When signing off or verifying completed work, the Coordinator is expected to confirm the work was actually completed, not simply add a signature.
