$80,000 - $85,000 / year Job Overview As the Quality Assurance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that products consistently meet quality, regulatory, and customer standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and enforcing robust quality and food safety standards, procedures, and policies. You will collaborate closely with employees at all levels to ensure a clear understanding of quality expectations and individual responsibilities throughout the production process. In addition to managing compliance, you will champion a culture of food safety, serving as a leader and influencer in promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Responsibilities & Duties Manage a team of quality technicians and batchers, including training, evaluation, and development. Ensure proper compliance with all federal and state alcohol operations and reporting laws & regulations. Assure that all raw materials, process parameters, sanitation procedures, and finished products comply with customer, company, state, and federal standards. Manage and audit quality programs while maintaining accurate documentation. Assure that HACCP/Food Safety plans are fully implemented and monitored across all processing lines. Support customers when noncompliance issues regarding ingredients and supplies arise, providing feedback to ensure corrections. Provide managerial and technical leadership to Quality Assurance technicians and plant staff. Support the retrieval of suspected product involved in product recall compliance, if necessary. Direct implementation and follow-up for corrective action items stemming from customer, GFSI, and FDA audits/inspections. Analyze quality data, pinpoint areas for process improvement, and develop reports for leadership. Approve and release all tested lots per customer requirements. Investigate consumer/customer complaints and provide written findings. Prepare the facility and team for quality audits, serving as the lead point of contact. Requirements & Qualifications At least 3 years of leadership and/or supervisory experience, with preference in a food or beverage production environment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Microbiology, Management, or equivalent practical experience. Proven track record of leading teams in a manufacturing facility. Strong familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, and quality systems. Active HACCP certification meeting PCQI and SQF Practitioner requirements is highly preferred. Knowledge of FDA, local regulatory requirements, and federal/state alcohol reporting requirements is preferred.
