Job Description
Associate Manager, Quality Assurance (QA) To provide leadership and support of the Quality Assurance team responsible for validating software functionality, performance, and alignment with business outcomes across projects, enhancements, and production support efforts. This position helps ensure QA work is consistently planned, documented, communicated, and aligned with business objectives, project delivery needs, and company standards. The role also serves as a coach and resource to team members, helping build QA capability, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support effective execution of departmental priorities. Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to assigned Quality Assurance team members. Assist the Director with hiring, onboarding, training, development, performance feedback, and employee coaching in accordance with corporate guidelines. Establish effective working relationships with business partners and IT Managers. Support the planning and execution of QA work across projects, enhancements, and production support needs by helping assign work, monitor capacity, identify risks, and recommend staffing or resource adjustments. Guide team members in creating and maintaining QA deliverables, including test strategies, test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, defect documentation, dashboards, and other project documentation needed to support quality, transparency, and delivery. Required Bachelor's degree in business management, computer information systems, computer science, or related field required. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Experience in quality assurance, project delivery, product owner, business analysis, technical lead, developer, or related IT delivery roles required. Working knowledge of quality assurance strategies and execution, test planning, defect management, project methodology, and project governance required. Designations in AINS and/or FLMI preferred or actively being pursued. Equivalent experience may be considered. Preferred Prior experience at an insurance company or on projects for an insurance company preferred.
