Quality Manager
Manufacturing Quality Systems
PLEX ERP
On-site in Plymouth, MI
Target salary range: $120,000 - $140,000.00
We are hiring a Senior Quality Manager in Plymouth, Michigan to lead manufacturing quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives in a production environment. This leadership role oversees quality systems, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), ISO and industry quality standards, supplier and customer quality activities, and quality performance metrics while utilizing the
PLEX ERP
system to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the organizations Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs to ensure products consistently meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality objectives that align with corporate goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, improve quality performance, and implement corrective actions.
Drive the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Develop quality standards, inspection methods, testing procedures, and evaluation processes for manufactured products.
Plan and oversee product inspections, testing, analysis, and quality validation activities throughout production.
Review engineering and design documentation to ensure compliance with customer specifications, company requirements, vendor quality manuals, and applicable quality standards.
Represent the organization during customer audits, site visits, quality reviews, and technical presentations.
Review quality data to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Communicate significant quality issues, risks, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.
Prepare and present quality metrics, technical reports, and program updates to management.
Direct and supervise quality inspectors and quality personnel responsible for inspection and testing activities.
Maintain current knowledge of applicable government regulations, manufacturing quality standards, and industry best practices.
Develop and implement quality training programs in collaboration with department managers.
Utilize the
PLEX ERP
system to support quality management processes, reporting, and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or a related manufacturing quality role.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience supervising quality personnel.
Experience developing and managing Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs within a manufacturing environment.
Experience leading Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of quality inspection methods, testing procedures, quality management systems, and manufacturing quality processes.
Experience analyzing quality metrics and utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive process improvements.
Working knowledge of government regulations, ISO standards, and industry quality requirements.
Proficiency using the
PLEX ERP
system.
Experience conducting customer audits, quality reviews, and supplier quality documentation assessments.
Must successfully complete company-required background screening, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional manufacturing quality certifications or industry-recognized quality credentials (such as ASQ certifications).
- Experience leading quality improvement initiatives within automotive or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, supplier quality management, and process improvement methodologies.
