Job Description

JLM Manufacturing is looking for a highly motivated individual to supervise the Confections FSQA team. This individual would be responsible for ensuring that GMP, HACCP, SOPs and other quality procedures are being followed. Provide supervision and leadership to all plant employees when it comes to ensuring quality of productImplementing and maintaining various Quality programs and systems, including HACCP, GMPs, Kosher, organic and SQF.Provide information from Quality Manager to team members.

Assist in documentation, implementation, and training of all aspects of the QC Program Continually monitor and maintain Daily QC Program Constantly review and improve current processes to increase efficiencies and improve results through continuous improvement.

Monitor and support all QC Program activity such as environmental, foreign material, Allergen Control, cGMP, internal audits, and sanitation inspections.

Collaborate with other facility departmental managers and supervisors to ensure the training and enforcement of procedures.

Manage and organize the HOLD program regarding inventory and releasing of products.

Investigate lot number discrepancies for traceability purposes.

Verify effectiveness of quality systems affecting all aspects of manufacturing through trends and corrective actions.

Verify production at start, middle and end of processing.
This includes:
labeling and ingredient checks.

Independently implement corrective action/preventative actions.

Implement and perform in-process checks Must spend at minimum 4/5 hours of workday on the production floor with cart Upkeep of environmental monitoring program Coverage on the floor when short staffTrain new QA techsResponsible for upholding food Safety standardsResponsible for up keep of paperwork and logs Preforming these tasks in a professional mannerOther duties as assigned Required Certs -
SQF, HACCP, Seafood HACCP, Food Defense Education:
Associates Degree or Higher Experience:
1 year Supervisory required
Technical Skills:
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Access is a plus).
Knowledge:
HACCP Certified, SQF Practitioner and/or PCQI preferred
Other:
Flexible - Work varying shifts to ensure the proper operation of the department, Saturdays when scheduled Work in a fast paced environment with the ability to make independent decisions.
Physical Requirements:
Able to bend, squat and stand for long periods of time.
