Job Description

About the Role SAM Nutrition is seeking an experienced Quality Control/Assurance (QC/QA) Manager to oversee and enhance our product safety and quality assurance programs. This role calls for a strategic leader who can manage compliance, drive accuracy and efficiency across quality control processes, and champion a culture of continuous improvement in product safety standards. What You'll Do Supervise and mentor the quality team — setting clear objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing training Oversee the entire product safety and quality assurance process, from raw material inspection through final product release, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and regulatory bodies, resolving issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner Prepare, analyze, and report on key product safety and quality metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and industry standards Conduct internal and external audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with statutory requirements Address and resolve escalated quality issues from internal and external sources What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field Proven experience in a similar QA/QC role FSVP and/or PCQI certification preferred Strong knowledge of FSQA and USDA standards and practices Proficiency with quality management systems and data analysis tools Excellent leadership and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods of time Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50 pounds Talking, hearing, and repetitive motion Eye, hand, and foot coordination Why SAM Nutrition We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, development opportunities, and a supportive, collaborative work environment — all as part of a growing company making a real impact in the animal nutrition industry.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
