This position ensures that every aspect of the work—materials, installation, testing, and documentation—meets the required standards, approved submittals, and governing codes throughout all phases of construction. Key Responsibilities Maintain all QC records required by VA specifications, including daily reports, inspection logs, and bi‑weekly QC documentation. Maintain and actively update the Rework / Non‑Conformance Log to track and resolve deficiencies. Organize, verify, and retain all testing documentation, including nondestructive test results, in full compliance with project specifications. Coordinate all contractor‑retained testing laboratory services, ensuring proper scheduling and required notifications to the COR. Confirm that all installed work meets the approved submittals, construction drawings, applicable codes, and government specifications. Verify site conditions, installation techniques, equipment placement, and adherence to manufacturer instructions as outlined in the General Requirements. Serve as the primary QC liaison with the Contracting Officer's Representative, Architect‑Engineer, and subcontractor teams. Participate in construction progress and coordination meetings and deliver clear QC updates. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a construction‑related field plus 2 years of experience, or 5 years of experience in a similar QC or construction management role. Experience managing QC programs for federal, VA, or large‑scale civil/sitework projects. Strong ability to manage detailed QC documentation, including binders, logs, and test reports. Solid understanding of VA specifications, NCA requirements, IBC provisions, and testing standards. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
