Job Description
Job Overview Wilmington Pipe Company (WPC) is seeking an experienced Quality & Technical Services Manager to lead the development of our Quality, Laboratory, and Technical Services programs as we launch our state-of-the-art HDPE pipe manufacturing facility. This is a unique opportunity to build a world-class quality organization from the ground up. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will establish our laboratory, develop our Quality Management System, oversee product testing and certifications, support manufacturing operations, and serve as the Company's technical expert for HDPE piping systems. Key Responsibilities Build and lead WPC's Quality Assurance, Laboratory, and Technical Services Department Develop and maintain the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) Establish and manage the in-house testing laboratory Perform and oversee testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished HDPE pipe Develop laboratory procedures, SOPs, inspection plans, and quality documentation Manage laboratory equipment calibration and testing records Lead product certification activities with ASTM, AWWA, NSF, PPI, and customer specifications Prepare technical reports, product submittals, Certificates of Compliance, and certification documentation Investigate quality issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Provide technical support to Production, Engineering, Sales, and customers Train employees on quality standards, testing procedures, and laboratory best practices Lead WPC's implementation and prepare documents for ISO 9001 and
