This position can be structured at either the Quality Technician or Quality Manager level, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The company is willing to consider a strong hands-on Quality Technician with the potential to grow into a Quality Manager role, as well as an experienced Quality Manager who can immediately take ownership of the quality function. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing quality background, with particular value placed on ISO 9001, PPAP, injection molding/plastics, inspection, corrective action, and continuous improvement experience. Quality Responsibilities Perform and/or oversee first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of injection-molded components. Ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards. Inspect parts for defects including flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, surface blemishes, and color inconsistencies. Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and control plans. Identify and investigate non-conforming products. Lead or participate in root-cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis , and other quality tools. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues. Handle PPAP requests and support new product launches and sample inspections. Support customer complaint investigations and warranty claim reviews. Conduct manufacturing process and documentation audits. Maintain accurate quality records and documentation. Assist with calibration and verification of measurement equipment. Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Management to reduce scrap, defects, and rework. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and customer satisfaction. Ensure production personnel follow established quality procedures and control plans. Quality Manager-Level Responsibilities Candidates with Quality Management experience may be considered for Quality Manager responsibilities , including: Overall responsibility for the plant's quality function. Ownership and administration of the

Quality Management System . Leading internal and external quality audits. Establishing quality procedures, standards, and performance metrics. Managing corrective and preventive actions. Leading customer quality issue resolution. Managing PPAP requirements and customer submissions. Working with Production and Engineering to improve processes and reduce defects. Providing leadership, direction, and accountability for quality activities. Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For Required /
Preferred Experience:
2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with
ISO 9001
Quality Management Systems is highly important. Experience with injection molding, plastics, automotive, marine, or RV manufacturing is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement equipment. Experience with PPAP and control plans. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Knowledge of GD&T preferred. Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective action. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Microsoft Office proficiency. High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
