Quality Manager About the Opportunity Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization with a strong reputation for operational excellence, quality, and customer satisfaction. This leadership role offers the opportunity to drive quality initiatives, lead continuous improvement efforts, and collaborate across multiple functions within a dynamic production environment. Position Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining the organization's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for quality assurance activities, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and serves as the final authority for quality-related decisions affecting product release and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with applicable customer, regulatory, and industry standards. Direct internal and external audit activities, corrective and preventive action programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and maintain inspection methods, quality procedures, certifications, and calibration programs. Serve as the final authority for product and service release in accordance with established quality requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop quality personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Review quality documentation, production records, and customer requirements to ensure compliance prior to product shipment. Manage supplier quality programs, including qualification, monitoring, and performance improvement activities. Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction. Partner with operations, engineering, and customer-facing teams to resolve quality issues and improve overall performance. Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. 10+ years of progressive quality, engineering, or manufacturing experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of quality management systems, auditing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience leading customer, regulatory, and certification audits. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certification preferred. Demonstrated success in root cause analysis, problem solving, and corrective action implementation. Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and quality-related reporting tools. Preferred Experience Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment. Background working with complex production processes and customer-specific quality requirements. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
