Microbiology Location:
Portsmouth, NH We are seeking a QC Supervisor - Microbiology to lead a team of Quality Control professionals supporting microbiological testing activities at our Portsmouth, NH site. In this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and development to a team responsible for supporting product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. What you will do Lead and develop a team of QC analysts performing microbiological testing in a GMP-regulated environment. Ensure laboratory activities support manufacturing schedules, product release, and customer commitments. Plan, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities to achieve quality and operational goals. Review and approve laboratory documentation while ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements. Drive accountability, performance, and professional development through coaching and mentoring. Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance laboratory effectiveness, compliance, and efficiency. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and site stakeholders to resolve issues and support business objectives. What we are looking for Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline. Experience working in a Quality Control laboratory within a GMP-regulated environment. Strong Microbiology experience; Environmental Monitoring experience is preferred. Previous supervisory or people management experience with a proven ability to lead teams. Strong performance management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and accountability. Experience supporting or leading process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
