Authorization to work in the US 2 + years QA Managerial experience within the Food Manufacturing Industry About the Company We're supporting a leading food manufacturer in Hawthorne, NJ, seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to drive excellence in food safety, quality, and hygiene across their sausage production operations. About the Role As the QA Manager , you will oversee all food safety, quality assurance, and hygiene programs. You'll lead QA and Hygiene teams, manage audits, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain company QA and hygiene programs and policies. Lead, train, and support the QA and Hygiene teams. Serve as the main contact for quality and hygiene-related issues internally and externally. Ensure regulatory and customer compliance (USDA, HACCP, GMPs, SQF). Prepare for and support audits from customers and regulatory bodies. Monitor production quality, perform investigations, and implement CAPAs. Lead root cause analyses and develop long‑term solutions. Maintain accurate QA/hygiene documentation and produce regular reports. Partner with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to align quality goals. Support NPD with quality and safety criteria. Evaluate raw materials and work with suppliers on quality issues. About You Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field. 5+ years in food manufacturing QA, including 2+ years in management (meat/sausage preferred). HACCP or SQF Practitioner highly desirable. Strong skills in QMS, SPC, root cause analysis, Microsoft Office, and compliance/ERP software (e.g., Redzone). Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑department collaboration skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
