Lead a high-impact quality function in a regulated manufacturing environment. Join a hands-on leadership role with full ownership of an AS9100-compliant QMS. Ongoing investment in systems, processes, and people supports a culture of accountability and performance. Job Description Lead and maintain an AS9100-compliant Quality Management System (QMS). Act as the primary contact for internal, customer, and certification audits. Oversee inspection, testing, and release processes to ensure product conformity. Ensure completion of First Article Inspections (FAI) in line with AS9102 standards. Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), including root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why). Chair the Material Review Board (MRB) and manage nonconforming product dispositions. Partner with procurement to evaluate and approve suppliers and ensure material compliance. Manage calibration systems for inspection equipment and measurement tools. Lead, mentor, and develop quality team members, including inspectors and engineers. Analyze and report KPIs and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) to senior management. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred). 5-10 years of quality experience in manufacturing, with 3+ years in leadership. Strong expertise in AS9100 (Rev D), auditing, and aerospace regulatory standards. Experience with fastener manufacturing, CNC machining, or similar environments. Proficiency in GD&T interpretation, SPC, and FAI (AS9102). Knowledge of materials standards (AMS, ASTM) and machining processes. Familiarity with QMS systems, ERP tools, and calibration systems. Hands-on experience with inspection equipment including CMMs and optical systems. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM) highly desirable.
