Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a Quality Control (QC) Manager on a federal design-build project replacing the HVAC system and upgrading electrical service at a military fitness center on Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM . This is a ~500-day design-build engagement covering HVAC demolition/replacement and electrical transformer demolition/replacement, governed by
UFC/UFGS
standards. You'll lead quality assurance across design and construction phases, running the three-phase (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up) inspection process and serving as the primary point of contact with the Government on all quality matters. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan and obtain Government acceptance prior to construction Execute and document the Three Phases of Control for all Definable Features of Work Review and certify all submittals and RFIs for code compliance prior to Government/Designer of Record review Coordinate directly with the Designer of Record and subcontractors across mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, and fire protection disciplines Maintain authority to stop work not in compliance with approved plans, specifications, or safety requirements Track and manage deficiencies through closure and maintain all required QC documentation and reports Support weekly progress meetings, Red Zone closeout meetings, and final project turnover Experience & Qualifications Current CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) certification required Minimum 5 years managing quality control on federal or military construction projects Direct experience with
USACE/NAVFAC
three-phase QC systems Experience with design-build project delivery HVAC replacement or electrical/transformer demolition experience strongly preferred Willing to complete an OPSEC Awareness Briefing and obtain Kirtland AFB base access
Pay:
$45.00 - $72.00 per hour
