  • 130,000 per year Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Traveling Quality Manager to oversee quality programs for Utility Scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout the United States.
This position is responsible for ensuring all construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements while leading quality personnel across multiple project sites. This role requires extensive travel and strong leadership experience in renewable energy or heavy civil construction. Responsibilities Lead and supervise Quality Inspectors on utility-scale construction projects. Develop, implement, and maintain project Quality Plans and QA/QC procedures. Coordinate inspections, audits, testing, and construction surveillance activities. Verify construction complies with project specifications, drawings, codes, and quality standards. Manage quality documentation, inspection records, audit reports, and document control. Monitor subcontractor quality through inspections, surveillance, and audit programs. Track corrective and preventive actions to ensure project compliance. Coordinate quality training and evaluate training effectiveness. Ensure inspection equipment calibration and quality tracking systems are maintained. Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, Owners, and Contractors to resolve quality concerns. Support civil, mechanical, electrical, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction activities. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum 10 years of construction quality experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years leading quality programs and managing quality personnel. Experience supporting Utility Scale Solar, Renewable Energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or Heavy Civil Construction projects preferred. Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspections, audits, quality documentation, and corrective actions. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Requirements Ability to travel and relocate as project needs require. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record review, physical, and drug screen. Ability to maintain required safety certifications. Qualified candidates with utility-scale renewable energy quality management experience are encouraged to apply today.
