Job Overview GNR has been retained by a 50+ year old, very stable, and growing AS9100 materials / metals distributor in need of a "hands-on"

QUALITY MANAGER.

Reporting directly to the President, you'll collaborate with everyone throughout the organization, including customers & suppliers. You will own the entire quality & safety program for the company, across multiple sites in up-state NY

•must reside in or easily travel to the Buffalo area office. You would be accountable for

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

SYSTEM, and improve standards, processes and procedures, quality control, certifications, audits, safety, and product inspection, etc.

RESPONSIBILITES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Min 5 years QUALITY leadership experience with tight compliance requirements Identify and lead initiatives , update processes & procedures, implement improvements as required to better the company, its members & safety. Ensure compliance for AS9100 audits & certifications follow the deliverable. Monitor key metrics, investigate/resolve quality issues, and help reduce costs. Very hands-on position

•draft procedures, walk the floor, calibrate equipment as required Maintain & improve Supplier Quality streams as required. Current/prior experience with AS9100 STD's & compliance requirements for aerospace / defense customers.
