Full-time Job Overview:
Rockland County based manufacturer is looking for a dedicated, on-site QES Manager who will be responsible for promoting a quality mindset and a culture of compliance across the entire company. We are looking for someone to take charge of projects and to confidently navigate competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Leads our quality and safety program. Creates a culture of quality by bringing your expertise and enthusiasm for product quality.
- Supervise the development and implementation of our Associate Safety program.
- Performs environmental assessments and subsequent action plans to ensure compliance.
- Assures quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and testing materials and products.
- Assess current programs and practices are current and compliant with FDA guidelines.
- Establishes process to ensure supplier quality, certifications, customer and government required documentation remains organized and current.
- Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management and with production operators, technicians, and engineers.
- Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product by devising evaluation tests, methods, and procedures.
- Develops raw material standards by studying manufacturing and engineering requirements, conferring, and negotiating with suppliers, and devising testing methods and procedures.
- Creates and maintains product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and government requirements.
- Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Your Qualifications:
- BA or BS in appropriate discipline, preferred BS in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology
- 2 + years' experience leading a team.
- HACCP certification strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA and GMP standards.
- Experience with microbiological product testing and environmental monitoring.
- Experience with Third Party Audits required.
- Proven track record or coaching and developing others.
- Must be organized, detail oriented and able to multitask.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Pay:
The pay range for this position is $80,000-100,000. We take into consideration a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
