Job Responsibilities & Duties The QA/QC Manager is responsible for ensuring that the quality management system (QMS) is fully implemented in an organized and efficient manner and deemed compliant at all levels (customer ? regulatory). The QA/QC Manager is responsible for delegating and assigning tasks to QA/QC staff and working closely with other departments to ensure compliance Maintain compliance to Food Safety Modernization Act and GFSI Food Safety Certifications for food sectors of the business as well as QMS compliance to non-food (as applicable). Manage and oversee all QA/QC activities to ensure compliance to FDA and customer regulations/specifications. Advance the quality programs throughout the plant site. Manage implementation and compliance of the QMS. Plan and communicate duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules. Identify and develop QA/QC personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs. Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel reporting to the QA/QC Manager. Drive and engaged work force with focus on continuous improvement, critical thinking and permanent resolution. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or related technical field preferred. Five years equivalent job experience in an industrial environment favored.

Working knowledge of food industry best practices and expectations.

Strong sense of customer service and meeting customer demands.

Strong sense of detail, objectivity and accuracy.

Able to communicate effectively to all levels of the Organization.

Competent writer of summary reports, business letters, e-mails and similar.

Adept in use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and ideally Power Point to a basic level.

Adept in the use of commercial database software such as SAP, Qualtrax, Trace Gains.
Certified or certifiable to:
1. HACCP Coordinator / FSMA Qualified Individual (QI) 2. Food Defense / Food Fraud Mitigation 3. Internal Auditing 4.
PCQI 5. SQF/ISO
