This role ensures compliance with customer, regulatory, and
ISO 9001
2015 requirements while supporting operational excellence, reducing defects, improving customer satisfaction, and administering warranty-related activities. The Quality Supervisor provides direct leadership to quality personnel and works closely with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies Oversee inspection processes for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods Manage nonconforming materials, corrective actions (CAPA), and customer complaints Coordinate the warranty process, including claim review, root cause analysis, cost tracking, and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and contract requirements Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality standards and resolve supplier quality issues Lead and participate in internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits Track quality KPIs (PPM, scrap rate, rework, warranty claims/costs, audit findings) and implement corrective actions as needed Partner with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to improve product quality and process capability Review purchase orders and engineering documentation to ensure proper quality requirements Supervise, train, coach, and develop quality technicians and inspectors Support department goals, staffing needs, and continuous improvement efforts within the quality function Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3-5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015 standards and audit processes Experience with ERP systems (Plex preferred) Preferred Skills & Certifications Experience with quality tools:
FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5
Whys Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Effective leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities Lean and/or Six Sigma training or certification preferred Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises quality technicians and inspectors Assigns daily work, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with quality procedures Provides coaching, training, and performance feedback Collaborates cross-functionally with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to resolve quality concerns and drive improvements Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
