Persistent Recruiting Solutions is representing an established Aerospace & Defense manufacturer to find an Operations and Quality Manager Operations & Quality Manager - Aerospace & Defense Cleveland, Ohio About the Opportunity An established aerospace and defense manufacturer in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an Operations & Quality Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations while overseeing the company's quality systems. This is a hands-on leadership role in a smaller manufacturing environment where people work across functions and have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the business. The Operations & Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining strong production performance, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards, and driving continuous improvement throughout the operation. The ideal candidate brings a combination of manufacturing operations leadership and aerospace quality experience and is comfortable being directly involved in solving problems and supporting the team. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations and ensure production schedules are achieved without compromising quality. Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain compliance with
AS9100, ISO
9001, and NADCAP standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Work with engineering to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions. Manage supplier quality programs, including supplier audits, performance reviews, and incoming inspection. Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, reduce defects, and improve yield. Train and mentor cross-functional employees on quality best practices and operational excellence. Partner with company leadership to align manufacturing and operational priorities with business growth. Provide additional support to areas such as purchasing and quoting when needed. What You'll Bring Experience in aerospace and/or defense manufacturing. Experience leading manufacturing operations and quality functions. Strong knowledge of AS9100 and
ISO 9001
requirements. Knowledge of NADCAP requirements and aerospace quality standards. Familiarity with
FAA/EASA
regulatory requirements. Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, and PPAP. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and quality management software. Demonstrated success improving manufacturing processes, reducing costs, improving quality, or increasing operational performance.
