Job Description
Job Title:
QA/QC SupervisorStructured Cabling & Low Voltage Description:
- Serve as the quality authority for structured cabling and low‑voltage projects across multiple environments (data center, commercial, AV)
- Focus on auditing and compliance; this is not an installation role
- Act as the primary escalation point for QA/QC issues from technicians, supervisors, and project teams
- Plan and perform formal QA/QC audits on active and completed projects
- Audit work against company standards, industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes
- Inspect completed telecom and low‑voltage installations for proper installation, labeling, testing, and documentation
- Identify and document non‑conformities, risks, and areas for improvement
- Prepare and distribute clear audit reports with corrective actions and recommendations
- Partner with field leadership to develop and track corrective and preventive action plans
- Verify effectiveness of corrective actions through follow‑up audits
- Identify repeat issues and quality trends across projects and recommend improvements
- Support the development and expansion of QA/QC processes, checklists, and standards
- Stay current on industry changes, manufacturer updates, and code revisions and communicate impacts
- Participate in onboarding, joint site walkthroughs, and maintain a visible field presence
- Travel between project sites as required to support audits and inspections
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience in structured cabling and low‑voltage systems
- Proven experience auditing completed installations rather than performing installs
- Experience supporting data center environments; commercial and AV experience a plus
- Experience managing quality across multiple projects or sites simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of:
- Structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber)
- Low‑voltage telecom infrastructure
- Industry and manufacturer installation standards
- ISP and OSP installation practices
- Ability to objectively evaluate completed work for quality and compliance
- Strong QA/QC auditing and inspection skills
- Experience with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple audits, priorities, and stakeholders
- Confident, professional communicator able to enforce standards without confrontation
- Detail‑oriented, consistent, and highly organized
- Independent, self‑directed, and adaptable across different project types
- Strong judgment, decision‑making skills, and collaborative mindset
Preferred:
LMS experience, QA/QC training or content development, and knowledge of adult learning concepts Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Albany, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00- $100000.
