Monday to Friday Position Summary The Quality Manager will lead all aspects of the quality function at Tegra's Fjord facility in Woodburn, Oregon. This position will partner closely with Production, Product Development, Engineering, Tegra's corporate Quality team, and the customer's Quality Control team to ensure products meet quality standards, specifications, and on-time shipment expectations. The successful candidate will be an experienced people and process manager with exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and professional proficiency in both English and Spanish. This individual will promote a quality-focused mindset throughout the facility while using data, root-cause analysis, Lean tools, and statistical process control to improve product quality and manufacturing performance. This position reports to the Fjord General Manager.

Full-time, exempt Job Duties Manage all aspects of the quality function at the facility, ensuring products meet corporate and customer standards and specifications. Lead, coach, develop, and manage Quality team members while establishing clear expectations and accountability. Perform final product inspections and determine whether products meet established quality requirements. Review and approve Product Development samples. Oversee in-process and customer quality audits and make informed decisions regarding garment performance and product acceptability. Lead the digitalization and automation of Quality Control work processes. Plan, develop, and implement quality policies, processes, and objectives that align with organizational goals. Develop a clear understanding of customer needs, standards, and requirements. Partner with Product Development and Production teams to establish and enforce effective quality processes. Provide clear direction to ensure products are executed consistently with the customer's vision, quality standards, and shipment deadlines. Lead the Quality team in collecting, interpreting, and using data to make informed decisions. Partner with Production to investigate quality concerns, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop and share metrics and scorecards that track quality performance across production processes. Promote and apply Lean tools and practices, including 6S, Kaizen, and root-cause analysis, and monitor their effectiveness. Partner with Tegra's corporate Quality Control and Engineering teams on quality and engineering analyses. Lead customer and Nike certification processes. Maintain effective communication across a matrixed organization. Exercise sound judgment and respond effectively to changing priorities and quality concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Proven managerial experience leading people and processes, preferably within Quality Control or a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to train, coach, manage, and develop employees. Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, including the ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, customers, and business partners. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and cross-functional communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to determine whether products meet quality standards. Strong analytical, creative-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to conduct root-cause analysis and develop effective corrective and preventive actions. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate, timely analysis. Experience applying Lean tools, including 6S, Kaizen, and root-cause analysis. Experience working within a matrixed organizational structure. Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels of the organization. High level of dependability, urgency, accountability, and results orientation. Ability to remain focused on product quality in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications and strong general computer skills. Ability to organize priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and respond effectively to changing workplace demands. Apparel manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required. At least five to eight years of experience in a quality-related role, preferably within the apparel manufacturing industry. Relevant professional Quality Control training or certifications are preferred. Physical and Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions as required. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to focus, reason, and respond effectively to workplace demands. Ability to work extended hours when business needs require. Ability to work in a hot production environment during the summer months.
