Job Description

Quality & Santation Manager Location:
Carlisle, PA Job Type:
Full-time, On-site Salary:
$100,000 - $110,000 per year + up to 10% annual bonus
The Opportunity:
We are recruiting a Quality & Sanitation Manager for a large, fast-paced warehousing and contract packaging operation in the Carlisle, PA area. This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced Quality professional who is comfortable working in a GMP-regulated environment and partnering closely with Operations. The Quality Manager will oversee site Quality and Sanitation activities, maintain and strengthen quality systems, lead audit readiness, and ensure customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met. The environment is highly operational and customer-focused. Success in this role requires someone who can maintain high quality standards while building strong working relationships across the facility. The ideal candidate is visible on the floor, approachable with employees, confident dealing with customers and auditors, and comfortable resolving issues in real time. Candidates from 3PL, contract packaging, regulated manufacturing environments or relevant manufacturing backgrounds which may include food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetics, dietary supplements or other GMP-regulated operations are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Lead and develop the site's Quality and Sanitation functions across a multi-shift operation. Maintain a strong GMP culture and ensure day-to-day operations consistently meet established quality, food safety, customer and regulatory requirements. Own and continuously improve site quality systems, procedures, SOPs and related documentation. Maintain audit readiness and lead preparation for customer, certification and regulatory audits. Host auditors, coordinate responses to findings and ensure corrective actions are completed effectively and on time. Lead investigations into quality issues, customer concerns and process deviations using root-cause analysis and CAPA methodologies. Monitor quality performance and use KPIs and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Work closely with Operations, Warehousing and Packaging leadership to resolve issues while maintaining appropriate quality standards. Provide coaching, training and development to Quality team members and reinforce consistent practices across shifts. Partner directly with customers on quality expectations, concerns, corrective actions and ongoing performance. Maintain accurate quality, sanitation, audit and compliance records. Support supplier and contractor quality requirements as needed. Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, improve efficiency, reduce waste and support continuous improvement. Partner with site leadership and HR on applicable workplace safety programs, reporting and safety meetings. Remain visible and accessible across shifts, including occasional off-shift or weekend support when operational needs require it.
What We're Looking For:
Approximately 4+ years of progressive Quality Assurance/Quality Management experience within a GMP or cGMP-regulated environment. Previous Supervisory or Management level experience leading and developing Quality employees Experience preparing for and participating in external audits; lead audit experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of AIB standards is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and CAPA. Experience maintaining or improving a QMS, SOPs and controlled documentation. Strong understanding of sanitation and operational quality practices. Ability to work effectively with Operations and other functional leaders in a high-volume environment. 3PL, warehousing or contract packaging experience is an asset; candidates from GMP-regulated manufacturing environments will also be considered. Strong leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond calmly and effectively when issues arise. Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; relevant industry experience will also be considered.
Schedule:
This is an on-site leadership position supporting a multi-shift operation. The typical schedule is approximately 8:00am - 5:00pm, with flexibility required to occasionally work earlier or later to support other shifts for training, onboarding, audits or operational issues.
