QA Supervisor - Poultry Processing Fredericksburg, PA | Day Shift | $55,000-$70,000+ per year We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead food safety and quality operations in a fast-paced poultry processing facility. This position supervises approximately 8-10 QA technicians and works directly with USDA representatives and other regulatory agencies to maintain compliance, address concerns, and implement corrective actions. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on QA leader with experience in poultry, meat, dairy, seafood, or another perishable food-processing environment. What You'll Do Supervise, train, schedule, and develop approximately 8-10 QA technicians Maintain regular communication with USDA representatives and respond to regulatory concerns Oversee HACCP, SSOP, GMP, GFSI, pre-operational inspection, and food-safety programs Review and maintain required HACCP, SSOP, inspection, testing, and compliance records Investigate quality issues and customer complaints while documenting corrective actions Oversee environmental monitoring and microbiological testing, including Salmonella, Campylobacter, and E. coli Prepare the facility for third-party, organic, animal-welfare, GFSI, and customer audits Ensure QA employees are properly trained and following company and regulatory procedures Assist with hiring, performance reviews, attendance, coaching, and progressive discipline Serve as backup to the QA Manager when needed What We're Looking For Previous quality assurance experience in perishable food processing is required Poultry, meat, seafood, dairy, or other protein-processing experience is strongly preferred Prior supervisory experience within a food-processing QA department Experience communicating directly with USDA or other food-regulatory agencies Strong working knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, GFSI standards, audits, and corrective actions HACCP certification is strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Poultry Science, Animal Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered Strong leadership, organization, documentation, and communication skills Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Schedule and Compensation Primarily day shift, typically around 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with additional hours or weekend coverage based on operational needs Salary range: $55,000-$70,000 per year Additional flexibility may be available for highly qualified candidates who bring strong poultry, leadership, USDA, and regulatory experience If you have hands-on food quality experience and know how to lead a QA team while maintaining strong USDA and regulatory compliance, apply today with your updated resume.
