Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Travel throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region) ________________________________________ Position Summary The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for ensuring every roofing project completed by F5 Restoration in the Philadelphia market meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, local building codes, OSHA safety requirements, and customer expectations. The QC Manager serves as the bridge between Operations, the Roofing Inspector, Pittsburgh Headquarters, subcontractors, and the customer. Once a project has been approved and assigned for production, the QC Manager oversees the project from scheduling through final completion, ensuring quality workmanship, timely communication, and complete documentation. The QC Manager is responsible for protecting F5 Restoration's reputation by ensuring every roof is installed correctly the first time and that every customer receives an exceptional experience. ________________________________________ Primary Responsibilities Project Scheduling Receive approved projects from Pittsburgh Operations. Contact customers within one business day of receiving a project. Schedule material delivery. Coordinate installation dates with subcontractors. Confirm homeowner availability. Verify permits have been obtained before scheduling. Coordinate dumpster placement when required. Coordinate equipment deliveries. Manage weatherrelated scheduling changes. Maintain the Philadelphia production calendar. ________________________________________ Pre-Construction Responsibilities Before work begins, verify: Materials have been ordered correctly. Color selections are confirmed. Manufacturer specifications are available. Permits have been approved. HOA approvals have been received (when applicable). Safety equipment is available. Dumpster is scheduled. Delivery dates are confirmed. Customer understands the construction schedule. Crew has complete work order and scope. ________________________________________ Production Oversight Monitor each roofing project for: Proper tearoff procedures. Decking inspection. Ice and water shield installation. Synthetic underlayment installation. Flashing replacement. Drip edge installation. Starter strip installation. Ridge vent installation. Ridge cap installation. Pipe flashing installation. Vent replacement. Proper nailing patterns. Manufacturer installation requirements. Jobsite cleanliness. Crew professionalism. Safety compliance. Daily production progress. Conduct site visits throughout the installation process. ________________________________________ Quality Assurance Inspect completed roofing systems for: Correct shingle alignment. Proper flashing installation. Ridge cap installation. Ventilation. Nail exposure. Sealant application. Clean valleys. Drip edge installation. Flashing details. Chimney flashing. Pipe boots. Gutters. Cleanup quality. Magnetic sweep completion. Property damage. Landscaping protection. Final workmanship. No project may be closed until QC approval is complete. ________________________________________ Customer Communication Maintain communication throughout production: Confirm installation date. Notify customer of material delivery. Explain installation process. Provide daily updates. Address customer concerns immediately. Conduct final walkthrough. Obtain completion approval. Maintain production schedule. Submit daily project reports. Verify permit inspections. Track project milestones. Monitor material deliveries. Coordinate final inspections. Submit warranty documentation. Verify customer payments before final closeout. Ensure complete digital project files. ________________________________________ Safety Responsibilities Enforce OSHA standards. Conduct safety inspections. Verify proper fall protection. Monitor ladder safety. Ensure PPE compliance. Stop unsafe work immediately. Document safety violations. Maintain safe jobsites. Ensure every project file is fully documented before closeout. Deliver a professional customer experience from scheduling through final walkthrough. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient jobsite at all times. Achieve high customer satisfaction while minimizing warranty claims and callbacks. ________________________________________ Authority & Decision-Making The Quality Control Manager has the authority to: Reject substandard workmanship. Stop work for safety violations. Require subcontractors to correct deficiencies before payment approval. Delay project closeout until quality standards are met. Recommend removal of underperforming subcontractors. Approve final project completion only after all quality, safety, documentation, and customer satisfaction requirements have been fulfilled.
