American Cable Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality department and ensure the highest standards of product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong analytical skills and a passion for quality excellence. This individual will oversee quality systems, supervise the Quality Assurance team, drive corrective and preventive actions, and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards. Position Summary The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all quality assurance activities throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures that products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company quality objectives through effective quality management systems, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Assurance Manager partners closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to reduce defects, improve processes, and maintain a culture of quality throughout the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and manage the Quality Assurance Department, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members.

Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.

Analyze quality data, KPIs, customer scorecards, complaints, and internal metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Monitor production processes to ensure products consistently meet quality specifications.

Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.

Manage product testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Prepare, review, and monitor Internal and External Corrective Action Reports.

Issue and manage Supplier Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and work collaboratively with suppliers on corrective actions.

Conduct and coordinate internal quality audits and support external customer and certification audits.

Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measuring and testing equipment through oversight of the Metrology program.

Lead Management Review meetings and present quality performance metrics and improvement initiatives.

Develop quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection standards.

Collaborate with Engineering and Production to implement process improvements that reduce waste and improve product quality.

Monitor customer complaints and warranty issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with company safety policies and quality procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Previous supervisory or management experience leading quality teams.

Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including

ISO 9001

standards.

Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and CAPA processes.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality metrics and statistical data.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or equivalent quality certification.

ISO 9001

Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.

Experience in the wire harness, battery cable, automotive, or electrical manufacturing industry.

Experience working with customer-specific quality requirements.

Bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team development skills.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence.

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

Strong customer service mindset and commitment to meeting customer expectations.

Ability to manage confidential information professionally. Work Environment Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.

Frequent interaction with production equipment, manufacturing processes, and warehouse operations.

Exposure to machinery, production noise, moving equipment, and industrial materials.

Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on the production floor. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Ability to inspect products and equipment using measuring instruments.
