Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and inspection methods Oversee inspection, testing, and evaluation processes to ensure compliance with company and industry standards Review material certifications, technical documentation, and quality records for accuracy and compliance Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions where required Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes Monitor supplier and vendor quality performance, supporting approval and evaluation activities Prepare technical reports and present quality findings to management teams Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements Supervise, mentor, and train QA personnel and inspection staff Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and operational performance Participate in internal and external audits and support compliance activities Promote high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout the business
Requirements:
Several years of experience in quality assurance within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection methods, and testing procedures Experience managing quality teams and coordinating cross-functional activities Proven ability to identify and resolve technical and quality-related issues Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment Experience dealing with customer quality concerns and supplier quality management
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience using manufacturing, quality management, or project management software Knowledge of inspection equipment, measuring instruments, and testing procedures Familiarity with welding processes, metallurgy, and non-destructive examination (NDE) methods is advantageous Understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing standards
Additional Requirements:
Strong awareness of health, safety, and quality standards within industrial environments Ability to conduct site inspections and work within manufacturing facilities as required Excellent organisational and documentation skills Professional certifications such as CWI or equivalent are advantageous
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Metallurgy, Welding Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred
