About the Opportunity We are supporting a large-scale, high-impact healthcare IT transformation project supporting Medicaid eligibility systems. This is one of the most complex IT initiatives in the state , requiring experienced professionals who thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments with minimal supervision . You will be working alongside a team of state personnel and seasoned consultants , contributing to a mission-critical project that directly impacts public healthcare services. Role Overview The Quality Manager / Project Manager (Executive Level) will drive quality assurance and governance using a PMI-based methodology , ensuring that all design, development, and implementation (DDI) processes meet compliance and delivery standards. Key Responsibilities Ensure quality compliance across all phases of SDLC (DDI) Validate deliverables against requirements traceability matrices Develop and maintain quality management templates and standards Define and track technical and compliance metrics (CMS, MITA standards) Lead testing strategy, execution, and reporting Manage defects tracking and resolution workflows Support certification processes with state and federal agencies Analyze and improve business processes and data models Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and government agencies Required Qualifications 3+ years of Quality Management experience in large healthcare IT systems 3+ years in healthcare insurance systems implementation Strong experience with: Requirements management & traceability Testing & QA methodologies Risk management & issue resolution Experience with rules engines and orchestration layers Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) Strong communication skills and ability to engage executive stakeholders Preferred Experience Medicaid eligibility systems / operations Medicaid Information Technology Architecture ( MITA ) Medicaid Enterprise Certification Toolkit ( MECT ) Large-scale, outsourced IT project environments Familiarity with Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations Candidates MUST either: Be a current South Carolina (SC) resident , OR Be willing to relocate to South Carolina prior to starting (at their own expense)Similar remote jobs
