Job Description Job Description Job Description Dean Kurtz Construction is hiring a CQC Manager for a USACE project at Ft Thompson, SD The CQC Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the project's Quality Control program in accordance with contract requirements, USACE standards, applicable specifications, and company policies. This role serves as a key member of the project management team and will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, suppliers, Government representatives, and the USACE Contracting Officer and Quality Assurance personnel to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the contract documents and required quality standards. Provide assistance to the project team and other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain the approved, project-specific Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Program in accordance with USACE requirements and contract specifications. Plan, schedule, conduct, and document required Three-Phase Control activities, including Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up phases. Maintain accurate and timely CQC daily reports, inspection records, testing documentation, deficiency logs, and other required quality documentation. Review contract drawings, specifications, submittals, and other project documents to identify quality requirements and potential issues. Assist the Project Manager with collection, review, submission and follow up on RFIs, submittals, design clarifications, and field changes as needed. Coordinate closely with the Government's Quality Assurance representatives and respond promptly to quality-related comments and concerns. Perform other duties as assigned in support of successful project execution. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, demonstrated experience managing Quality Control activities on commercial, industrial, civil, or government construction projects is preferred.
