Position Summary The Quality Control Supervisor I oversees daily laboratory operations supporting chemical manufacturing activities. This role is responsible for laboratory personnel, testing programs, quality system compliance, equipment calibration and maintenance, and timely reporting of analytical results. The position ensures compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and company safety policies while supporting continuous plant operations. Key Responsibilities Lead daily Quality Control laboratory operations in support of manufacturing activities. Supervise, train, and develop laboratory technicians while maintaining staffing coverage for a 24/7 operation. Coordinate testing for production support, raw material approvals, investigations, customer complaints, projects, and supplier qualifications. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
requirements, laboratory procedures, record retention, and quality documentation programs. Manage laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and analytical testing activities. Support internal and external audits, certifications, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site safety and environmental requirements. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related technical field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of quality experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. Experience working within an ISO-certified quality system. Prior supervisory or management experience. Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, analytical methods, and testing procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred 3-5 years of laboratory supervisory experience. ISO Auditor qualification.

training certification. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in office, laboratory, and chemical manufacturing environments. Occasional off-shift, weekend, or holiday support may be required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toe footwear, and emergency escape respirator. Ability to distinguish colors and interpret laboratory tests, indicators, labels, and instrument displays.
