Quality Control Supervisor Millenium Inc. - 2.5 Germantown, TN Job Details Full-time $65,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Fuel card Qualifications Driver's License Mobile devices Full Job Description Quality Control Supervisor Milenium Inc. | Full-Time | Field-Based | Shelby County, TN Milenium Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee the quality and documentation of our utility construction projects throughout Shelby County. This position will work directly with field crews, subcontractors, project management, inspectors, and customers to ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently, and according to project requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, communicates well, and is comfortable working in the field. This position will be responsible for identifying quality issues, holding crews accountable to project standards, and ensuring Milenium's work meets the required level of quality. Responsibilities Oversee daily quality control activities across multiple active job sites throughout Shelby County. Conduct regular field inspections of crews and completed work. Ensure construction is completed according to project plans, specifications, and company standards. Inspect HDD operations, bore paths, bore depths, conduit placement, hand holes, pull boxes, and other underground utility installations. Review and verify bore logs, bore photos, production reports, daily reports, and other required documentation. Ensure crews are accurately documenting their work and maintaining proper records. Monitor the quality of work performed by Milenium crews and subcontractors. Identify deficiencies and communicate issues to the appropriate personnel. Follow up on quality issues to ensure they are corrected properly and in a timely manner. Communicate with Construction Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors, inspectors, utility owners, and customers regarding quality-related issues. Assist with investigating construction incidents, utility conflicts, damages, and other field issues. Verify that crews are following project specifications, right-of-way requirements, and approved construction methods. Perform quality audits and maintain accurate inspection records. Help maintain consistent quality control procedures across projects. Provide feedback and direction to crews when work does not meet project or company standards. Monitor overall crew performance and identify recurring quality or documentation issues. Travel frequently between active job sites throughout Shelby County to inspect work and support project teams. Perform other duties related to quality control and field operations as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in construction, utility construction, HDD, fiber installation, or a related field. Previous quality control, supervisory, foreman, or management experience preferred. Strong understanding of underground utility construction. Experience with horizontal directional drilling and/or fiber construction is preferred. Ability to read and understand construction plans, maps, and project specifications. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify problems in the field. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and management. Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced construction environment. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability and willingness to travel frequently between job sites throughout Shelby County. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to use a smartphone, tablet, email, Microsoft Office, and other digital construction documentation systems. Preferred Experience Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Fiber optic construction Underground utility installation DOT or municipal utility projects 811 utility locating procedures Right-of-way construction Bore logs and production tracking Construction inspection and documentation Experience working with subcontractors and inspectors What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes ownership of quality. The Quality Control Supervisor should be willing to get out of the truck, walk the job, talk to the crews, inspect the work, and address problems when they are found. This position is not simply about reviewing paperwork after the work is complete. The right candidate will be able to recognize when something isn't being done correctly, communicate the issue clearly, and make sure it gets corrected. Accountability, attention to detail, communication, and consistency are critical to this position. Compensation $65,000 annual salary Company fuel card Travel reimbursement for approved work-related travel Work Environment This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel between active construction sites throughout Shelby County, Tennessee. The Quality Control Supervisor should expect to spend significant time outdoors and around active construction equipment and crews. The position may require early mornings, extended days, and schedule flexibility based on project needs.
